2Q Review Template:

Please perform a 2Q Review for the identified statement. This review should answer these five items, challenging assumptions where necessary. Provide a specific score for each category and offer examples to enhance clarity:

Restate the statement under review to ease association.

  1. Quantifying Data (Score: 1-5) Score 1: No specific data provided. Score 5: Quantifies the subject with clear numbers or metrics. Questions:

    • Is the number provided reasonable and verifiable?

    • Could the data provided be further broken down for clarity?

    • Are there additional numbers or stats that would paint a fuller picture?

Example: Instead of saying "increased productivity," specify how much productivity increased, such as "increased productivity by 25% compared to last year."

  2. Qualifying Data (Score: 1-5) Score 1: No details or context provided. Score 5: Clearly explains the context and significance. Questions:

    • Is the statement overly vague or specific enough to stand on its own?

    • What additional qualifiers or descriptors would enhance the impact?

    • Does it clearly explain why the contribution matters?

Example: Instead of "managed a team," clarify by saying "managed a team of 15 employees."

  3. Baseline Clarification (Score: 1-5) Score 1: No comparison or baseline provided. Score 5: Clearly states a baseline for comparison. Questions:

    • Is there a baseline mentioned, and is it credible?

    • Could the baseline comparison be made clearer?

    • Does the comparison accurately reflect the change or achievement?

Example: Instead of saying "increased sales," provide a baseline such as "increased sales by 30% compared to last quarter."

  4. 'Wow' Factor Rating (Score: 1-10) Score 1: Not impressive or impactful. Score 10: Highly impressive and impactful. Questions:

    • Is the statement strong enough to make a lasting impression?

    • Could the impact or result be phrased in a more compelling way?

    • What elements could be added to make this more impressive or memorable?

Example: Instead of "improved customer satisfaction," describe a specific achievement like "received a 95% customer satisfaction rating."

  5. Words/Acronyms Used (State "None" if applicable) List any industry-specific terms or acronyms and ensure they're easily understood. Questions:

    • Are the acronyms or terms widely recognized or overly technical?

    • Would simplifying the language help, or should more context be provided?

    • Does the reader need to research any terms used, and should this be avoided?

Example: If using "CRM" (Customer Relationship Management), ensure it's explained or replaced with "customer management system" if unclear.
